Use of the Building

Since the reopening of St Thomas’ Church it has not only been used for regular Sunday & Wednesday Services but also for Wedding, Baptism and Funeral services.  Informal and Ecumenical services including the annual Village Candlelit Carol service have also been held.

The Parkgate Committee, Bishops Trust and Parkgate Society hold their regular meetings at St Thomas’s. Parkgate Pre School also used the building for three months while their new classroom was being built.

Community events including a “Royal Wedding “party (April 2011) and the Queens Diamond Jubilee party (June 2012) were held in the Church and grounds. A special afternoon tea party was also held to celebrate Mollie Bushell’s 95th birthday party and was attended by 100 family and friends.

Events have been held for Parkgate Primary School and a weekly Pilates Class has been running for several months.

With seating for up to 100 people, Interest groups can easily be accommodated. A small kitchen (sink, fridge, water heater for making tea and coffee) is available for use. There are disabled toilet and baby changing facilities also available.
